A pictorial of the progress since the last update:
The doors for the main galley cabinet are done, and installed. The interior of the cabinet is also finished. It has 2 drawers, and lots of storage space inside. The Precision temp water heater/hydronic heat unit lives inside this cabinet also. It only needs final fine tuning of the doors when all is said and done.
The opposite counter top, with space for a built in oven beneath, a pullout shelf, and a drawer below.
The low drawer in it’s open position. This one happened because we did not want to waste the space in front of the wheel well. it is a wide, but not very deep drawer, 6in tall.
The pullout shelf, designed for use as either a spice rack, or for utensils. The space next to the oven would otherwise have gone to waste. The hook on the front serves double duty as drawer pull and towel hook.
A perfect fit for a large lap top, or a place to set up a buffet…The drawer can pull out above one’s knees, and then becomes a secondary writing top.
The drawer top comes off, and offers space to store the lap top, cell phone, etc.
we provided 120V as well as 12V power for this drawer.
we provided 120V as well as 12V power for this drawer.
The 120V is inverter powered, so lap tops can be charged and used while off the grid. The inverter has a voltage sensing system, and feeds through 120V, bypassing the batteries, when 120V is available.
The drawer makes a nice writing desk when extended, with room on top of the cabinet for the computer. Below is ample space for briefcases, or files.

And, a test fit before applying a finish.
Meanwhile, Our seamstress extraordinaire, Lynn, is steaming the freshly stuffed cushions for the dinette.
A trial fit…For the most part, this is where we left it tonight. The fridge cabinet is 90% done, varnish drying as we write this. We can show it with the next update.
Today’s Temps: mid 60’s, sunny.
Today’s Tunes: 245 through 322 of 493 on my ipod in shuffle mode. What caught my attention today were a few tunes off the “Bent” recording by Gary Willis. A truly amazing musician…
