We’re working on a very special project right now. It is a 1968 Ambassador by Airstream. We were commissioned by the client to build a semi-period trailer with modern conveniences. The plan calls for a clean and elegant interior, modern amenities, polished exterior, and updated drivetrain. Basically a complete rebuild. The original layout will be somewhat adhered to. Airstream did a good job in 1968. In the spirit of Wally Byam, Airstream’s founder, we will make improvements only – no changes. Major improvements, however. At this time, the status of the project is still young. The shell is stripped, inside and out, the frame repairs are done, frame is painted, and a new sub floor is being installed.
