Electric
October 24th, 2008
Another milestone on the Ambassador project was just about completed this week. The basic electrical installation is 98% finished. All wires are labeled and recorded. The A/C and D/C distribution panel is wired, so are most of the wall plugs and switches. Pretty soon we will be powering lights and tools from the trailer’s electrical system, instead of extension cords.
A pair of bus bars, right one for 12V power runs, left one for 12V light circuits.
A pair of relays that can remotely kill all the ceiling lights in the front of the trailer.
The A/C side of the distribution panel.
And, the DC side. It offers 11 circuits, perfect for the system as it was planned.
Here the completed panel. It will eventually reside behind a cover above the street side galley counter.
The panel and converter were purchased from www.bestconverter.com. Randy was a big help in selecting the proper components for this installation. I am sure that we will call on him for future projects.
A finished AC outlet, next to a 12V connection for the stove top’s electronic ignition.
No drilling into new wiring allowed.
Circuits are labeled and recorded.
So, one step closer to a finished product. Let’s see if we can get this system spinning in teh next few days. Stay tuned……
