Time flies…
January 29th, 2009
The latest from Area 63: Ambassador interior is progressing nicely. A new drawer for the computer desk is now being finished. A lower and upper shelf are being varnished. The hinges tht were ordered 2 weeks ago arrived, and are actually the ones I ordered.
Tomorrow I can finish with the finish on the door and drawers, and Saturday this is going to be in place.
The lower shelf, which will eventually live below the front window. Fresh oil…still bubbly.
The frames for the curbside galley doors are cut, and the door inserts are being varnished. Waiting for paint to dry is very taxing on one’s patience when one is on a deadline…let me tell you. The stuff dries much slower when you are actually trying to get things done. I pretend that I am relaxed, and don’t have a smidgeon of a care, but somehow the oil knows…and takes it’s time. Sweet time.
The Goal is to have the entire front room finished by Sunday, and attack the galley next week.
Today’s temperature: 50’s in the early AM, 74F at 3:00 PM…nice and warm, but very windy.
Today’s tunes: A whole bunch of Steely Dan, and Tool.
